Fronics begins supplying surface-emitting micro LED masks

[Seoul = Newsis] Reporter Kim Gyeong-taek = Fronics, a subsidiary of iWin Plus, announced on the 26th that it has begun supplying surface-emitting micro LED masks to Amore Pacific group company Pacific Tech.
According to the company, Fronics signed an exclusive supply contract for LED masks with Pacific Tech, Amore Pacific's subsidiary specializing in beauty devices, in January. We will supply surface-emitting micro LED masks to Pacific Tech over the next two years, and the expected supply volume is more than 20 billion won.
The key to the product supplied by Pronics this time is to maximize the effect of improving skin elasticity and whitening by attaching LEDs directly to the skin to allow light to reach the dermis. It uses 3,770 fine micro LEDs to create a surface luminous state and irradiates directly to the skin at a close distance of less than 2 mm.
Existing LED mask products used mini LEDs, so it was impossible to achieve surface light emission and they could not adhere closely to the skin, so there was a problem of not allowing a sufficient amount of light to reach the dermal layer. On the other hand, the surface-emitting micro LED mask developed by Fronics compensates for the shortcomings of the mini LED method and can be flexibly attached to the skin. In particular, unlike existing LED masks, there is no risk of low-temperature burns, greatly reducing the risk that may occur when irradiated with light. This is the company's explanation.
A Fronics official said, "The release of surface-emitting LED masks was delayed due to the long time it took to build a mass production system, so the market entry barrier is high," adding, "After launching in Korea as an exclusive supply to Pacific Tech, we entered the global market through entry into the home beauty device market. “It will cause a sensation,” he said.
