A mask with a protruding nose that looks like a face.
A red light comes out from the inside of the mask, and it bends flexibly when force is applied.
This is an LED mask developed by KAIST researchers for skin beauty.
It was made by attaching 3,700 LEDs the thickness of a hair to a flexible electronic material.
Since it is not a hard material, the mask adheres to the skin, and the LED light can penetrate the dermis without the risk of low-temperature burns.

As a result of a clinical trial conducted by the research team with a domestic university hospital, it was confirmed that skin elasticity was improved by 3 to 5 times compared to existing LED masks.
In line with the growing market for personal beauty devices, the goal is to begin full-scale product production by the end of this year.

The research team is currently making clinical plans to apply this technology to hair loss treatment.
